PressPrimer Quiz is free from wordpress.org. No paid package, trial or nulled code was installed during this audit. The live behavior described below comes from the free tier as published on the showcase bench.
Standard Ten coverage
The live quiz was authored with the Standard Ten questions. Free PressPrimer exposes single-answer multiple choice, multiple-answer, and true/false question types; fill-in and ordering are not part of its native authoring model.

The Core-Six page is comparatively light, with no jQuery dependency and a modest DOM.
Signature feature walkthrough
The signature demo on https://wpqp.loca.zone/pressprimer/signature/ exercised the plugin’s assessment-oriented controls:

- Confidence prompt asked the learner to mark confidence per question; the result review displayed that state (
Not Confident) alongside each answer. - Save/resume was enabled and a resume indicator appeared during the attempt.

These controls make PressPrimer feel closer to a formal exam tool than a casual trivia embed.
Catches and caveats
- Small install base: 100 active installs means limited real-world battle testing compared with larger roster plugins.
- Few ratings: A 100/100 rating from only two ratings is encouraging but statistically thin.
- Narrow free question model: No fill-in or ordering in the free tier, so two of the Standard Ten extensions cannot be expressed natively.
- No support-resolution evidence: 0 support threads and 0 resolved threads in the captured snapshot; the support-resolution component of the maintenance score is therefore zero.

The maintenance score is pulled down by the tiny install base and absence of support-thread data, not by update recency or tested compatibility (both of which are current).
Verdict
PressPrimer Quiz is the most assessment-focused of the live-bench roster: test mode, confidence tracking, save/resume and server-side scoring give it a clear niche for low-stakes exams, compliance checks and LMS-integrated assessments. The free tier is genuinely usable, the front-end runtime is light, and it completed the supported portion of the Standard Ten without Pro upsells.
The catches are scale signals, not functional failures: the install base is small, the rating sample is tiny, and the free question model stops at MC/MA/TF. If you need fill-in or ordering on the free tier, look elsewhere. If you want a lightweight, formal-feeling quiz with good result controls and no jQuery baggage, PressPrimer is a strong, under-the-radar choice.
